Screenshot Manager
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Screenshot Manager (“the app”) is a Windows app made by ThinkFlow (“we”, “us”) that captures, organises and annotates screenshots on your own PC. This policy explains what the app touches, what it keeps and what it never does. In short: your screenshots and your activity never leave your computer. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking, and we do not collect, sell or share any data.
1. Summary
- Screenshots are saved as files on your PC and are never uploaded.
- The app does not connect to the internet.
- There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
- We do not receive, sell, rent or share any information about you.
2. Screen capture
The app reads the contents of your screen only when you ask it to: when you press a capture shortcut, click a capture button or choose a capture option from its menus. While you select an area, a still image of the screen is kept in memory. Only the part you choose is saved; the rest is discarded when the selector closes.
3. Clipboard
If “Hang images copied to the clipboard” is on (it is by default), the app checks the Windows clipboard about once a second for a new image, such as a snip from Win+Shift+S. When it finds one, it saves a copy as a screenshot in your library. It only looks for images and never reads, stores or sends text you copy. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
4. Keyboard shortcuts
The app registers its shortcuts (such as Alt+Shift+S and Print Screen) with Windows so it is told when they are pressed. It does not watch, record or store any other keys you press.
5. Information stored on your PC
- Your screenshots, as PNG files in
Pictures\Screenshot Manageror the folder you choose in Settings. - A library index and small preview images in
%APPDATA%\Screenshot Manager: names, dates, sizes, and the tags, notes and favourites you add. - Settings in the same folder: your shortcuts, save folder and other choices.
None of this is sent to us. Deleting a screenshot in the app moves it to the Windows Recycle Bin. Uninstalling the app leaves your screenshots and settings in place; delete those folders yourself if you want them gone.
6. When you share a screenshot
Copying a screenshot, dragging it into another app or saving it somewhere else hands the image to that app or location. What happens to it there is covered by that app's own privacy policy.
7. Microsoft Store
If you get Screenshot Manager from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, licensing and updates under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Microsoft may give us aggregated reports, such as download counts and crash summaries, that do not identify you.
8. Sharing and sale of information
We do not sell, rent or share user data, and the app contains no advertising or tracking code.
9. Children
Screenshot Manager is a general-purpose utility. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
10. Changes to this policy
If a future version changes how the app handles information, for example by adding an optional update check, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version is released.
